What To Do If You Are Arrested
By Joshua Horowitz, Esq.

John and Mary Smith were married for 17 years. They celebrated their anniversary with a great home cooked dinner. Unfortunately Mary had a little bit too much to drink. They started to argue and Mary lost her temper and hit John 3 times. John pushed her away; she fell and got a small cut on her forehead, A neighbor called the police. When they came, Mary said, "Forget about it, I love John". The police told John "You're under arrest" and took him away in handcuffs. John spoke with the police, who seemed very nice, and told them that he had pushed her. Mary told the District Attorney and the Court that she did not want to proceed. The District Attorney went ahead anyway and continued to try and convict John.

John learned the hard way.
